Taking the Diagnostic Tests!

In this video, I review the three options for taking the diagnostic tests and how to view student scores.

Option 1: Once you are logged in, click the orange button ("Go to Your Next Task") to take the recommended path through Let's Conquer ELA.

If you want to choose which concept to work on, you have TWO ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:
  1. Click the "Start Diagnostic" button next to the concept you want to work on. You'll be brought to the diagnostic exam, which will help you figure out what to practice.
  2. Click the "Practice" button next to the concept you want to work on. You'll be brought to the ELA Shack game, which will let you practice until you master the concept.
If you want to get even more specific, you can choose which skill to work on. Just click the concept of your choice and then practice within any of the skills on the next screen.

To master a concept, you need to master every skill within it. You can do this in two ways:
(1) In the benchmark diagnostic, by getting two hard questions for that skill correct.
(2) In the practice section, by getting three easy questions right in a row, then three medium questions right in a row, then three hard questions right in a row. Missing a question will boot you back to the beginning of that difficulty level.
